cropped-march-2106-029The world can sometimes feel cold and dark. How quickly a day that began in sunshine and warmth can evaporate like mist in the wind. How can you rekindle the embers of your soul and keep your heart glowing? As far back as I can remember, along with my love for people and the great outdoors, my heart was captivated by Jesus, the very Creator of these beautiful treasures.

cropped-moms-birthday-013v2During the darkest times of my life, it was the heart of Jesus that carried me through. In times of great desperation when I found I had no voice left to pray, I learned to use scriptures to speak the cries of my heart for me. The voice of Jesus, found in scriptures became my voice and my prayer. The more I sought Jesus there, the more I found Him to be near. If you are going through a difficult time or if you want to infuse more fire into your prayers, you can find out more about the process I used for praying desperate, fervent, passionate prayers in my book In Dark of Night When Words Fail.

These three great loves: Jesus, nature and people, flow freely in my writing. Out of gratitude to Him, I share these devotional writings, prayers and poems inspired by His Word and His Spirit.

My hope is that every word I compose will help you draw near to the heart of Jesus or if you are already there, will draw you closer still. Let your heart be warmed again with Spirit-led, Bible-based words of encouragement, refreshment and inspiration.
