Please join me in prayer for mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or mother figures. Let’s remember the godly women who have nurtured us and lift them in prayer today. If you are a mother, this prayer is for you, too.
Heavenly Father, thank you for lavishing your love on us.
Today, I pray a blessing over mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and all the mother figures in our lives. Let your steadfast love and forgiveness uplift our hearts. May your peace anchor our souls as we read your Word. Send waves of refreshment through your indwelling Spirit.
Lord Jesus, thank you for pouring out your blood on the cross, to cleanse us of sin and win us for heaven. Reaffirm our identity, that before we were mothers, first we were your daughters. You knit us together in our mothers’ wombs. You called us by name, and we are yours.
May the joy of our salvation glow brighter than any sorrow we may face. Jesus, as you were victorious over death and sin, so we are victorious through faith in you. Hallelujah!
Holy Spirit, rekindle the light and hope of Christ in our mothers, in their marriages, their children, and their families. In every broken place, we pray for healing and restoration, in Jesus’ name. Where we have failed as mothers, we ask for your grace and power to bring beauty from ashes. Help us surrender our lives and our loved ones to you, Lord God. For you are our Healer, Redeemer, and Savior.
Remind us that Jesus is living. He is moving. He is powerful. He is LORD! And He is working all things together for God’s glory and our good.
We stand on Your Word which lasts forever. We speak the truth of God’s Word to renounce every lie of the enemy. Thank you that no weapon formed against your people will prosper. May Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, rule and reign over our hearts, minds, marriages, children, families, finances, relationships, jobs, and future.
Let each mother sense your Presence in a personal and profound way today. Let them hear your voice calling to come closer still. “For before you were a mother, first you were my daughter.”
Hold every one near your Abba Father’s heart of love, and let us rest this day in your heavenly peace.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Beautiful Melissa. I thank God for all the moms in our lives
I do, too, Yvonne! Of course, my mom has the greatest impact, but so many other godly moms have nurtured me and my faith. God bless you and your family!
It has been challenging to re-connect with everyone. I had to stop getting onto X, so that I could finish the writing and promotion of a book first. As a result, I have lagged and have often forgotten simple results and answers. We live in a new location in a small home since all our children are fully grown and scattered around the USA.
Dear Melinda, it’s good to hear from you. I understand completely. I hope you sense God’s tender love for you through it all. Your years as a mom were well spent. God bless you and your family!
What a powerful paragraph! Wow! “We stand on Your Word which lasts forever. We speak the truth of God’s Word to renounce every lie of the enemy. Thank you that no weapon formed against your people will prosper. All glory to God! Thank you for the encouraging words, Melinda. May we speak the truth of God’s Word over ourselves and our families. Our own thoughts ebb and flow, but His Word is truth.
May God bless you and your family!
