Prayer for a Fresh Start – New Possibilities

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of a new day. Thank you for your steadfast love and faithfulness that brought me through to this very moment. Jesus, thank you for the gift of salvation and your resurrection power.

Holy Spirit, do a new thing in me. Help me remember with God all things are possible. No matter what disappointments I experienced yesterday, today is a fresh start. I have a clean slate in Christ Jesus. Renew my heart with your love. Anchor my mind in your Word. Lift my vision to see my Savior. Strengthen my faith as I look to you.

Help me walk with you today in great expectation. For you are the God who went to the cross and back to win my heart for heaven. You are the God of eternal blessings. I put my hope in you! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Scripture: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

Prayer for Surrender

Almighty God, thank you for the gift of life. You are the One who formed my very frame. Every breath, every beat of my heart is sustained by you. You are the One who numbers my days. This day belongs to you. My life belongs to you. My eternity belongs to you.

Lord Jesus, you laid down your life to atone for my sins. A gift like no other! Lord, forgive me of my sins. Help me lay down my life for you. Not to earn my salvation, but out of gratitude for the One who did it all!

Holy Spirt, give me a humble heart and a teachable spirit. Transform my life through your Word. Lord, I surrender. Take my time, take my gifts, take this day, and live through me. Empower me to be your vessel. I love you, Jesus. Help me live like I do. In Your name. Amen.

Scripture: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Prayer to Remember My Identity in Christ

Father God, I praise you! You are the God of the universe. Yet, you love me personally. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made by you. You see me, know me, and love me more than anyone else ever could.

Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice on the cross for my sins. Hallelujah! My sins are washed away and I am a new creation. You have robed me in your righteousness and invited me to share in your heavenly inheritance. I am a child of God, a child of the King! I am indwelled by your Spirit. I am being made into your image day by day.

Holy Spirit, help me embrace my identity in Christ as I go through this day. Help me remember I am loved, known, chosen, forgiven, accepted, part of your family, and assured a place in heaven. Fill me afresh with the truth and grace of your Word. Let the light of Christ radiate through me today, so others can see Jesus and be drawn to Him. In His name. Amen.
