From A Mother’s Heart

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of my precious children, heart of my own heart, gift from heaven above. Until they were born, I did not realize how deep, fierce and untameable a mother’s love could be. But even this unexplainable force of love is not mine to own. It is from You, the source of all love. Help me place these children and this mother’s love before Your Throne, for you are Almighty God, Holy One, King, Lord, Creator, Master, Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, Provider, Sustainer, Father, Jesus, Spirit, Shepherd, Lamb and Lover of our souls. Only You can be on the throne of my heart. Heavenly Father, help me to reflect the love of Jesus over them, so they see the love in my face, but also see through me to gaze upon the face of Jesus who loves them so much he died for their sins, to rescue them from hell and win them to You. Eternal Father, fill in all the gaps for my children where I have failed or was never meant to fill from the beginning. Be the truest Heavenly Parent that only you can be to my children, both now and for all eternity. Help me use the small gifts I have been given to lead them to You, for only You will never leave or forsake them. Let me rest my mother’s heart in You, for You are my Father, too.

I love You, Abba Father. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
